I am a professional photographer based out of the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. I am available for hire for portrait, editorial, engagement, headshot and commercial photography.
I want my clients to emotionally connect to the images that I capture for years to come. CAPTURING THE HUMAN SPIRIT is what drives my photography. I am trying to capture more than a person's image, I am trying to capture their personality and their emotions. Combining their personality and emotions with great composition and light is how I create timeless photographs that my clients cherish for years to come. If I am photographing an event I want to blend in with the people and capture those honest emotional moments. If I am doing a portrait or commercial shoot, I try to develop a rapport with my clients and get them comfortable, and most of all I want them to have fun with the photo session. I started out as a freelance photojournalist with The Washington Post. I moved into commercial, and portrait photography serving the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland metropolitan areas. I live in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC, with my wife of 28 years and three daughters. We have lived in this area for over 18 years. My oldest daughter is working in New York, my second daughter just graduated from the University of VA (UVA) and is now working ini Washington, DC, and my youngest is in 2nd grade at Wolftrap Elementary.
